What do the Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Star Wars” have in common? I’m not really sure but the folks behind this concept album have made an absolutely brilliant pop-cultural mash-up.
It was Star Wars day yesterday, of course, and social media was crammed full of everything having to do with a Galaxy Far, Far Away. But this gem stood out, without a doubt. From the creative genius of Palette-Swap Ninja, the entire “Sgt. Pepper’s” album in Weird Al-type form to tell the story of the first “Star Wars” movie. The video I’ve included here is the opening two songs of one of the greatest albums of all time giving us the score for the unforgettable opening sequence of everyone’s favorite Space Western.
