Today’s illustrated quote comes from Austrian poet Georg Trakl. Oftentimes the concept of the “silence of God” might be seen in a negative light (i.e., when you feel he’s not answering your prayer). But in this quote I find great comfort in the silence of God and can relate. This silence found in nature, the kind you can only find there – deep, patient, eternal – seems a gift from God. This is only more true in our age where distraction, impatience, noise and banality seem to rule our days.
